For more than 40 years, we have consistently provided our clients with a first-class level of service

As a family business in its second generation, retec® Kunstofftechnik GmbH can look back on a successful development. Since the foundation in 1984, we have successfully established ourselves as a manufacturer of medical and technical acrylics. Our acrylics are now used all over the world. Through continuous research and innovative development, we can always offer our customers first-class products that meet the highest quality standards. We develop customised solutions and are certified according to ISO 13485 and Annex II of the Medical Directive 93/42/EEC.

The beginning

In 1984, Dipl.-Ing. Siegfried Reiss founded retec® Kunststofftechnik GmbH.
At the first headquarters in Oberursel (Taunus), the company developed and produced dental prosthetic resins (hot and cold acrylate-based polymers) with 3 employees. The products were sold under private label to well-known dental companies in Germany.

After successful development of various products for metallography and veterinary medicine, the marketing of these products was taken over by a company in Nidderau.

Today, approximately 38 employees (as of 2024) develop and produce our high-quality range of advanced denture resins and auxiliaries for dental applications, materials for materials testing, veterinary medicine and hearing aids, as well as resins for nail and jewellery design. The products are distributed worldwide through reputable distributors.

From the very beginning, Mr Reiss focused on the highest quality and safety plastic products, laying the foundation for a success story that continues to this day.

Innovation

Technical development has made giant strides in recent decades. At the same time, the requirements of customers and testing authorities are becoming stricter. At retec® Kunststofftechnik GmbH, research & development has been an enormously high priority from the very beginning.

Our product range is constantly being developed further, whether to meet customer requirements or to fulfil regulatory requirements. At the same time, we attach great importance to the control and continuous improvement of each individual production step, right up to the finished end product.
